Dave Reed

Co-founder, Partner & Chief Technology Officer

As one of the original founders of eSpeakers over 17 years ago, Dave leads the technology team as VP. He continues to focus on how technology can bring real business value to the speaking and meetings industry. Dave’s leadership has resulted in eSpeakers becoming the dominant provider in the industry. When Dave is not in the office, you may pass him running on the local roads, on the river in his canoe or with his family traveling the world. Dave is an expert in chocolate cake, donuts and southern cooking. Make sure you ask him about his Top 5 Best Chocolate cakes list.

Joe Heaps

Partner & Chief Marketing Officer

Joe leads the sales and marketing team at eSpeakers. With over 14 years in the speaking and meetings industry, Joe’s strategic vision and leadership has propelled eSpeakers forward as the leading software provider in the industry. He has a passion for all sports, most especially football. When he’s not in the office, you can find him coaching his sons in whatever sport is in season, or spending time outdoors with his family. While he’s never been considered the smartest, funniest or handsomest person in the room, Joe has nonetheless been in the room. And his grandmother assures him that this is half the battle.

Barbara Hopkins

Manager of Customer Experience

Barbara has been an integral part of eSpeakers for the past eight years as the Director of Customer Experience. She is responsible for making sure our customers are happy and our products serve them. The most important part of her job is making sure we all do ours! She is everyone’s favorite person to talk to. Barbara loves her two dogs and two cats, and enjoys being a foster owner to animals until they can find a permanent home. She loves anything to do with Oakland A’s baseball, and watches far more television than any sane person should.

Mark Hobson

Lead Developer

Mark’s a recent addition to the eSpeakers team, and we’re excited have him on board. Mark has a wealth of problem-solving experience. He’s great at pulling together all the little details to keep everything running smoothly at any stage of a project. His experience, thoroughness and attention to detail ensure that projects are always completed to the highest standards with minimum hassle. Outside of work, Mark can be found driving his “Back to the Future” Delorean, floating in his boat in the Pacific Ocean, or hiking with the Boy Scouts. You could describe Mark as a retired band member, video game fiend and zombie connoisseur.

Matthew Wright

Developer

Matthew has been with eSpeakers for just over three years now. As a developer, he helps to lead the company by using the latest and greatest technology to create a rich customer experience. Matthew is always looking for new technologies to experiment with in order to push the boundaries of the industry landscape and keep eSpeakers’ products fast and efficient. You could describe Matthew as a new-technology lover with a wicked sense of humor! When he isn’t working he can be found reading, learning more about artificial intelligence or playing with his daughter.

Customer Service

Susan has been part of the customer service team at eSpeakers for the past 3 years. Her main role is helping new customers get acclimated to the eSpeakers system. Every company needs someone who makes you laugh, Susan is our official funny person. She loves good Mexican food, home decorating, shopping, donuts, and spending other people’s money. Susan’s a lover of all-things 80’s, if you don’t believe it have her show you her 80’s dance moves or sing your favorite Journey song. When she’s not working or shopping, Susan enjoys her time with her husband, four children and her dog Otis.

Customer Service

Jill has been with eSpeakers for over five years, assisting customers with their every need. Jill sees many parallels between her customer service responsibilities and her two passions–running and eating healthy. All three rely on being passionate, positive and finding answers to problems. When she’s not obsessing over lowering the number of support tickets in the queue, you can find Jill lacing her shoes up for a run, supporting her kids in their activities or baking homemade bread. Ask her about her latest adventure where she and her husband ran the Grand Canyon from rim to rim!

Amber Shelby

Sales

Helping speakers find success in their business is what Amber is best at. She has been with eSpeakers for eight years and leads our sales team, specifically working to connect speakers with meeting professionals (buyers). Amber is the go-to-guru in our office for living life to its fullest. Whether it’s running with her friends, riding horses with her husband or raising her four boys, Amber gets the most out of life. She grew up in the center of the universe, Richfield, Utah. Ask Amber about all the barnyard animals she’s feeding right now at her home, we’re not quite sure how she does it all!

Tyson Heaps

Sales

Tyson is a stone-cold sales assassin. All he does is sell, sell, sell. The good thing about all of this is that he gets results, and his clients love him. Tyson has actually been selling most of his life. At age nine, he sold his brother’s favorite yoyo to a friend for his first sale. Then he had to figure out how to tell his brother . . . that didn’t go so well. Tyson prides himself in his endurance when it comes to Netflix marathons and how many reps he can bench press 225lbs. Ask him about living in Bolivia for two years, he’s got some crazy stories.
