Geoffrey Scheer
An accomplished theater artist, Geoffrey has turned his talents away from the bright lights of show business to the offices and boardrooms of corporate America
Employing the same skills he once used to entertain, Geoffrey now educates audiences on the importance of respect in the workplace with his theater-based training methods. Balancing drama and humor with the latest research on legal and ethical issues facing today's workforce, he promises to deliver a presentation that will stay with attendees long after they leave the session.
Geoffrey has been training on issues of diversity, inclusion, unconscious bias and harassment since 2004, working with such companies as AIG, Ecolab, HSBC, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and many others.
Prior to focusing full-time on training, Geoffrey enjoyed a successful career in the performing arts as an actor, singer, playwright, director and producer. He was the co-founder and Artistic Director of the New York-based theater company Write Club NYC, and Company Manager for the award-winning comedy troupe The Water Coolers. As a playwright, his works have been published by Samuel French, reviewed in the New York Times and performed in theaters and colleges across the country.
Geoffrey is the author of "Acting with Respect: A Theater-based Approach to Creating a More Diverse, Harmonious and Profitable Workplace," and a contributing writer on ethical issues for TheHumanist.com.
