Learn practical techniques of mindfulness to rediscover joy within ares of leadership, parenting, and interpersonal relationships

Above all else, I'm a husband as well as a dad to four amazing children, but beyond that, I teach communication and leadership studies, and I research ways that mindfulness can be used to make us all better people. Mostly, I'm intrigued by what happens when we slow down, savor the little moments, and offer the people we are with our full and intentional presence. After working with parents, specifically fathers, for several years, I began writing about ways to reconnect dads with their families on a deeper level, but more than that, we can utilize these techniques in a variety of other contexts, such as education, leadership, organizational structure and development, and community outreach.

Mindful Living for a Distracted World

Our world grows more distracted every day, as we develop newer technologies to increase the efficiency with which we disseminate information. This has resulted in the creation of an "attention economy," where our attention spans carry more weight than our wallets. As a result, we live in increasingly distracted times, and most of the time, we don't even realize that we are neglecting our relationships because our attention is not focused where our priorities truly lie.
