Nancy Hightshoe is a pioneer in both the areas of women in law enforcement and teaching personal safety to all ages. She was one of the first women in the nation to patrol in a one-officer squad car on all three shifts and, as a Crimes Against Persons Detective, Nancy cleared more than 85% of her felony assault investigations (the national average is 49%).  

Nancy's police experiences have given her a unique perspective on achieving success.  In addition to her success in law enforcement, Nancy brings to her programs years of personal involvement and practical knowledge as a business consultant, corporate trainer and entrepreneur.

Each personal safety seminar includes skill-building exercises as well as 3 self-defense moves, but I am not a self-defense instructor. My focus is on avoiding dangerous situations.

Even though the name is the same, every seminar is customized to meet the unique challenges of each client organization.   For example, Defusing Workplace Violence - Risk Factors, Prevention And Survival Strategies is very different for the City of Mason City, Iowa, than the program is for Landis & Gear - an international energy management company.

She appears on-camera as an expert and commentator for the NBC St. Louis affiliate and has been a media spokesperson for AT&T. She holds a Master's Degree in Human Relations and in The Administration of Justice and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. 

Nancy has been named to the World Who's Who of Women.  She has also received the Giraffe Project Commendation which reads in part, "whose courageous actions illumine all our lives making manifest the Truth that people who believe in themselves and care for others can meet any challenge life presents".

Nancy is a committee chair of Zonta International.
