Nan Crockett Valentine

Nan Crockett Valentine is President of Valentine Coaching & Consulting, a firm she started in 1990.  Valentine Coaching & Consulting offers workshops, keynote presentations, executive coaching, and consultation in strategic planning, interpersonal communication, change management, generations in the workplace, and staff resiliency. 

Nan’s mission is to enhance the well-being and effectiveness of people in the workplace.  She writes a monthly column called, Put Me In, Coach, for Central Iowa Business Magazine.  Her clients include such companies as Federal Home Loan Bank, Principal Financial, Iowa Home Care, Mercy Medical Center, and Pioneer Hi-Bred.  

Before starting her company, Nan worked as Director of Consumer Affairs for Hills Department Stores, which was at that time a Fortune 500 retail firm in Boston.  She oversaw Hills’ charitable foundation, marketing, governmental relations, sales promotions, customer service, and public affairs departments. 

Nan’s favorite solution to life’s most vexing problems is laughter.  VanderWyk & Burnham publishing has released Nan’s book, Breakaway Laughter:  How to Lighten Up – Despite It All.  The book was named a finalist in the humor category for the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award.
