Michael Richardson’s philosophy of life is simple there
are No Obstacles. That strength of will has propelled
him to the top of every field he has entered. As a child
and young adult he competed as an elite horseman
winning blue ribbons in Hunter, Jumper and Dressage
events. After an injury he was on the Olympic
Development team in wheelchair racing and
represented his country internationally. With his wife
Tiffany, he now runs Broken R Ranch in Hico, Texas
and travels the country sharing his unique message
with a diverse and enthusiastic audience.Michael does not let life stand in his way, a powerful

Not only to survive, but to thrive.Twenty years ago he made a split second decision to avoid a deer standing in the road. That moment changed his life, he says for the better. The jeep flipped and rolled over. Michael’s torso was crushed leading to a spinal cord injury. That began a journey that he says was his gift.After the injury Michael was forced to relearn everything he knew. While earning an Associate Degree in Equine Studies at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, he met
Dr. Gayla Sargeant and developed the basis for his current program, teaching the model
of compassionate leadership.Horses have taught Michael how to create a harmonious partnership based on mutual respect.
