Jan Vermeiren

Antwerp, BELGIUM
Founder - The Compassionate Leader

Jan Vermeiren is the founder of The Compassionate Leader and according to HR Tribune one of Belgium's top 10 speakers.

Jan is the author of the international best sellers about online/offline networking "Let's Connect!" and "How to REALLY use LinkedIn", the CD "Let's Connect at an event", the book "Life is a Game!" and the upcoming book "The Compassionate Leader".

Having experienced major successes (two international best sellers and owner of LinkedIn's first training partner worldwide) and some difficult setbacks (two failed projects, almost bankrupt and a mid life crisis) Jan deeply knows what it is to be an entrepreneur who has to go through the highs and lows.

During this process he discovered the ingredients that have helped him and many others go through these hardships and that brought back success and joy in his personal and professional life. They are: by solving tensions in a specific way you can bring an individual or a team to a higher vibe, at least when it is facilitated by someone with a compassionate attitude.

Via his project The Compassionate Leader he brings together leader from all over the world in an online community and teaches them how they can raise the vibe in their organizations and become a more Compassionate Leader.

The consequence? Higher performing organisations with happier co-workers.

Some facts:

The American edition of "Let's Connect!" and "How to REALLY use LinkedIn" were Amazon best sellers. Jan is the first Belgian author who has achieved this. In the Netherlands the Dutch edition of "How to REALLY use LinkedIn" held the number one position for many weeks.

Jan has worked for more than 450 organisations all over the world including large multinational companies like Alcatel, Deloitte, IBM, ING, Nike, Orange, Philips, Rabobank, Siemens and local companies.

Jan has been a guest teacher in the international MBA programs of Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School (Belgium) and RSM Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (the Netherlands).

Nice to know: when Jan was the owner of his previous company Networking Coach (sold in 2013 to Scredible) LinkedIn chose his firm as their first certified training partner in the world.

NOTE: also travels from New York.
