As the onetime owner of three different businesses (including the largest group of Hertz Rent-a-Car franchise locations in the U.S.), my expertise is based both on my personal experience as well as my over 30 years of work devoted exclusively to helping companies design the systems, processes, and tools needed to implement successful employee recruiting, hiring, and retention programs.

As the founder and president of Humetrics, I have worked with hundreds of clients (including some of North America's leading restaurant, retail, and franchise organizations) helping companies, hiring managers, and business owners improve their employee recruiting, selection and retention processes, I have also delivered over 500 high-impact, custom-designed presentations on these subjects.

I was awarded the National Speakers' Association Certified Speaking Professional designation in 1999 (and am one of fewer than 400 people worldwide to earn this honor) and have  written seven books including the bestselling Hire Tough, Manage Easy; 267 Hire Tough Interview Questions; and Recruit Smarter, Not Harder. I have also written hundreds of articles for trade and professional journals and am a regular contributor to Restaurant Hospitality, Multiunit Franchise, and Convenience Store Decisions magazines. I serve as a board member for both the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and the Workforce Institute.
