Sharan Tash
Sharan’s entrepreneurial background ranges from fitness, to education, to the dental field. She attributes her success in raising her four successful children as a single mother to the art of connecting with people. Her altruistic enthusiasm to give back and to give first without asking for anything in return, has dubbed her the Pay It Forward Relationship Networker.
Returning to college as a single mom at the age of 37, her motivation was to be a role model for her children. “How can I insist my children attend and finish college if I have not completed college myself?” Sharan returned to college in 1999 and graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern Illinois University. She then continued her education at Illinois Benedictine University pursuing a Masters in Exercise Physiology – Cardiac Rehab. She put her education to work by starting, “The Fitness Tutors”, an in home personal training business that catered to the Orthodox Jewish community in Chicago.
Her passion for networking was ignited when she worked with her x-husband at their dental practice in Buffalo Grove. Sharan started networking throughout Chicagoland and developed her own unique style of networking which is currently in the trademark process as “Boomerang Networking”. It was through her passion of giving that her current businesses, The Professional Networker, Inc. (a free online resource of all networking, business, fund-raising and career development events throughout Chicagoland), and Sharan Tash, Ltd. (a consulting business for coaching, workshop and seminar presentations, and keynote addresses) were developed.
In the spirit of giving back, Sharan serves on the Board of Directors for NAWBO-Chicago as the Program Director and Chair for the Corporate Retention Committee. In 2004, she was the recipient of NAWBO National’s Rookie of the Year Award. In 2007, the President of NAWBO-Chicago honored her with the MVP award for the Chapter – The President’s Award. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce and earned the Member of the Year Award in 2004. Currently she is an Ambassador for the Chicagoland Chamber and is a speaker for the WBDC in Chicago. In 2007 she earned her membership to NSA (National Speakers Association) and will be serving as Membership Chair for the NSA-IL Chapter. Her love and respect for children is evident as a Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program of Lake County, Buddy Baseball volunteer through Keshet, and Saferides Adult chaperone through New Trier High School.
Sharan helps corporate sales teams, dental professionals, University students and individuals become comfortable with the act and skills of building quality connections and relationships for their business and personal life through Boomerang Networking. “I cannot ask you for anything unless I have helped you in some way first.”
