Julie Thong
MBA
CA, USWhen Julie Thong was growing up, she was far from what you'd call a success.
- At 15 years old, she was tortured physically, mentally and emotionally and left to die in a dumping ground of a Communist Concentration Camp in Cambodia. She dodged bullets and landmines as she and her family fled to a Thailand Refugee Camp to escape Cambodia’s murderous Pol Pot (Khmer Rouge) regime. The obstacles that she faced – war, slave labor and starvation – were life-threatening.
- At 21 years old, when she arrived in America without a word of English or a penny to her self, she was hopeless and confused. Due to the language shock, culture shock, food shock and skill shock, she was overwhelmed with fear; fear of getting out of the house, fear of learning the new language, fear of asking for help, and fear of meeting new people. She was diagnosed as "learning disabled." She became discouraged and hopeless and did not think that she could survive in America.
- At 34 years old, she went through a deep depression due to a divorce. Her pain was excruciating, but she strived and discovered an incredible strategy to change her life. She was able to change her perspective about life and very determined to turn her life around.
Julie went on to earn an MBA degree, discovered a successful homebased business, published her memoir "Khanteya: My Quest for Love and Freedom" and self-help book titled "The Power of FEAR: Face Everything And Rejoice," founded the Amazing Mission International for HEART to help under privileged people, and is now pursuing a Doctorate degree in Psychoneurology & Biomedical Nutrition.
As a business consultant, philanthropist, author and professional speaker, Julie has helped hundreds of people find their inner strengths to conquer challenges in their lives, push their limits, improve their performance, and expand their success.
Julie's work has been featured on many national and international radio shows and major television network such as CNN and Time Warner Cable TV segments.
Julie's greatest achievement of all is the relationship she has with her husband and daughter.
Julie has helped leaders, employees, ministers, entrepreneurs, students, stay-at-home moms, and sales teams convert their fears as fuel and succeed in their personal and professional lives. Julie delivers heartfelt and dramatically memorable presentations and coaching sessions.
