Rolland wrote his first book in the year 2000, called  SAIL to Your Purpose. He uses Bible verses to  support and undergird his premise that God knows what he wants us to do, we just need to pause and listen to what his plan is for us.

Rolland is now working on the second book of the series that is related to The Gift of Parkinsons Disease.

Rolland is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Speech. He has done graduate work, at Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, and University of Notre Dame. For much of his career Rolland was the President and CEO of the United Way in Denver Colorado, and Ft. Worth Texas.
Under Rolland's guidance the Mile High United Way in the Metropolitan Denver Area, set a 9-year record of growth for major United Ways. He developed the first Loaned Executive Program, in Ft Worth Texas. All major United Ways now use this program. He recruited and developed the first Training Director for United Way of America. This program ultimately trained thousands of staff and volunteers in over 30 disciplines. He has served on several Governors Committees in both Texas and Colorado. He has served on the Metropolitan Government and Chamber of Commerce Committees on Economic Development.

Since leaving the United Way in 1989 he has become an entrepreneur. He created Hoffman & Associates, which is the umbrella organization for Coast-to-Coast Shoppers; a wholesale distribution company, Kachina House; a wholesale and retail Native American Indian Artifacts Company and Herbuniverse.com, a nutrition supplement company. He is associated with eLuminate Inc. management training company.

He has served as President of Veggie Snack Foods and International Formulation and Manufacturing.

Presently Rolland serves as President of Roadmaps Institute, an educational Institution that works with organizations and their alliances to increase productivity and reduce costs throughout the alliance group, Roadmaps Institute is based in Carlsbad, CA.
