Alan K. McDonald is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) with extensive experience in the design, development and delivery of Health & Safety Management Systems and Training programs. He has 30 years of experience with a varied background that includes military and war service (Vietnam), international airline operations, sales and marketing management and health & safety training and consulting.

Originally from Australia and now living in Canada (a proud dual citizen of both countries), Alan has travelled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle east, Asia, the Orient, the Pacific and the Americas.He brings with him, a wealth of experience from his extensive travels throughout the world coupled with an avid penchant for observing human behavior. This is particularly applicable when considering the skills required for an effective keynote speaker, trainer and facilitator, mentor, coach and motivator.

His self-deprecating and challenging style of facilitation & delivery engenders a very comfortable and dynamic learning environment. His primary goals in facilitation are the transfer of knowledge and developing appropriate competencies by challenging participants to take ownership and responsibility for their own safety!

Mr. McDonald has designed, developed and facilitated training programs and workshops in Leadership, Negotiation Skills, Health & Safety Management, PowerPoint for Presenters and many other topics for an eclectic clientele that includes several international major Commercial Property Management Groups, major national Printing Plant Operations, Food Processing Plants, several international Oil & Gas Industry clients and a national "Green Power" Energy Provider. He is the principle Health & Safety Management Trainer & Program Facilitator for NOVA Chemicals® Research & Technology Centers. He has also designed, developed and facilitates several training programs for the SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) Faculty of Management. This included Health & Safety Management, Negotiations Skills, Presentation Skills with PowerPoint and Strategic Selling. He also delivers instructor-level training programs in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) for the Energy Faculty.

Although Alan is primarily focused on the Leadership and health & safety world, he is not limited to it. His topics are many and varied and cover a realm of different themes. How about Negotiating for Gold in the Bazaars of Tehran or Running with the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, or Climbing the Great Wall of China, to name a few?
