Member of Parliament for Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale, David also continues as President of Direction Works Incorporated, a consulting and training company. A proven leader his experience includes management, leadership, sales, strategic and
David has proven his 18 years of leadership as President of two national organizations and election to Parliament in 2006. His experience in both the private and public sector includes clients from such diverse organizations as Scouts Canada, Proctor and Gamble and CFIA. He is the author of the personal development book Your Spectacular Quest, has been a certified behavioural consultant, contributing writer to the magazine Personal Excellence, founding and past president of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and a former triathlete, competing in the North American long course in his home town of Kingston ON. David studied in the Master's of Theological Studies modular track at Tyndale University and during breaks in the Parliamentary calendar works at serving and participating in his local community.

David and his wife Almut live in Ancaster, Ontario with their children.
