What is Relational Leadership?
Your business, my business, any business is ultimately about relationships.
You know it. And I know it.
Because of that, leading a successful organization today isn't always easy. You can do a fabulous job in the technical and mechanical parts of the business, and yet there are many 'human inconveniences' that put organizations, like yours, in a real pickle:
- high cost of labour
- employee retention issues
- leadership succession voids
- lack of team spirit
- absenteeism
- negative attitudes
- unacceptable customer service
- generational differences
- we vs. them, or department vs. department conflicts
- and the list goes on.
Do any of these relationship issues affect you?
Don't you think it's time to think outside the barn and get to the core of these issues - the relationship issues?
People Say Dan Ohler is Different
If you want a 3-piece suit, degrees, credentials up the ying-yang, and a jargon-filled PowerPoint, I'll be blunt: I'm not your guy. And besides that, in the business world I talk about something most people don't - the Technology of Love, because that's what makes business work.
If you're looking for grassroots rural values, authenticity, honesty, and expertise in relationships - let's talk. I'm the same guy in your conference room as I am when you meet me in the grocery store, my community, or high on a mountain ridge. Know what? I'd be thrilled to meet you in any of those places. And by the way, I'm going backpacking in the Rockies this summer - want to come along?
Methodology for Change
When I work with you and your team, the communication principles I'll share are basic, effective, and applicable NOW. There will be lots of humour, energy, and interactivity, because I believe people learn best when they are engaged and having fun. But I'll poke some buttons too! I'll challenge your team to "think outside the barn" and apply the principles NOW. And by using a "coach-approach" your team will come up with their best steps to moving forward.
So don't stick your head in the sand and think the relationships in your organization will improve on their own. Organizations get better when the people in the organization get better. Can you afford to not give them the resources they need? Can you afford to have people who choose to be unhappy?
Call or e-mail me and let's get the gears in motion for your event.
Testimonials:
"The positive impact of your keynote presentation is still resonating throughout our organization. All of the feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly supportive - it is most encouraging and heartening to have that positive reaction. Thanks again for your part in a most memorable first all-staff meeting for Parkland County. An exceptionally high bar has been set for future events."
Pat Vincent, CEO, Parkland County, Alberta, Canada
"You hit the nail on the head with your presentation on Communications and the impact communications have on our work and personal lives. One of the Canadian Payroll Association’s core values is “Community” and your presentation really emphasized the power of communications in creating and maintaining the community in which we live and work.
Your energetic presentation style and approach to life is genuine and contagious – our attendees spent a lot of time laughing and a lot of time nodding in agreement! People left the meeting that morning feeling very positive and upbeat and well equipped to take what they learned back to their offices and homes and use the information when dealing with their co-workers, friends and family.
I have received nothing but positive feedback and would highly recommend you as a speaker to other organizations."
