Don Martin is a Canadian television and newspaper journalist, currently the host of Power Play on CTV News Channel.
After 30 years of covering provincial and national politics as a popular and provocative columnist for the National Post and Calgary Herald, Don left the newspaper industry to join CTV as host of its flagship politics broadcast Power Play. The show, broadcast twice daily over CTV's News Channel, regularly features the heavyweights of Stephen Harper's cabinet and the loudest voices of opposition along with premiers, mayors and outspoken celebrities. An author of two political biographies and an award-winning journalist, Don speaks regularly to audiences ranging from bank executives to teachers and realtors, sharing his humorous insights on the future direction of politics in Canada and the personalities who serve the electorate. He has been named as a 2012 recipient of the Peter Lougheed Award for Public Policy by the Public Policy Forum of Canada.
