Professional Career: Middle Market Strategy Consulting with Acclaro (2000-present) Fortune 500 Corporate Development Consulting (1994-2000) Captain, US Army Military Intelligence Corps (active duty and reserves from 1992 to 2000) Functional Area Experience: Marketing Corporate Development Strategy Sales Strategy Experience: New Market Entry M&A Quasi-Turnarounds Corporate Growth Planning Background: Education: MA, Foreign Affairs, University of Virginia BA, Government, Franklin & Marshall College Favorite assignment: It was December, 2001. The phone rang. It was a New York private equity group. Their lender had required them to hire an outside consulting firm to do a market study as part of their due diligence. Somehow, no one had bothered to find a consultant to do the work. The study was due in nine days; closing was scheduled for the tenth day. Impossible? Nah, we just hunkered down, called all of our other clients, explained the situation, and focused on the task at hand. It was an adrenaline rush unlike any other project. And we did a terrific job. Not only did we recommend acquiring the acquisition target, but that company is now a repeat client, as well. Passions and hobbies: I am a family man. My wife and I have been together since college, and we have two wonderful children: a six year old daughter and a two year old son. And they could not be more different!
