Prior to founding his own company in 1990, he has held senior positions in sales management, sales training, and was the national sales training manager for Ricoh Corporation.

Barry is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and currently training in Aikido and Jiu-Jitsu. He often competes in weapons competitions with a six-foot bo staff.
