Bob Rathbun
Bob Rathbun literally talks the talk. His life is the reflection of his message.
He identified his dream when he was a pre-teen. Then he found ways to fulfill that dream.
And how's that dream working out for him?
He has earned nine Emmy awards, eight Sportscaster of the Year honors, Distinguished Service Award from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Distinguished Alumni Award and Sports Hall of Fame at his alma mater Catawba College as well as being inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. He is the voice of the NBA Atlanta Hawks, the WNBA Atlanta Dream, SEC Football as well as ACC Basketball and Baseball.
As impressive as his sportscasting awards and career are, that's not all there is to Bob's story. The obvious inspirational call on his life extends beyond sportscasting. During his career, Bob has worked with and interviewed hundreds of athletes, coaches and administrators and as a result, Bob was able to identify and achieve an additional dream - that of being a motivational speaker. He began as a member of John Maxwell's Maximum Impact team as well as serving as host of Nightingale-Conant's "Success Streams" audio series. Those experiences provided a perfect segue into creating his own insightful presentations that inspire and motivate corporate teams, association members, students and educational administrators.
