Valerie Perri
Valerie Perri is best known for her award-winning performance in the lead role of Eva Peron in the Tony award-winning musical Evita. Under famed director Harold Prince's direction, Valerie headed the first national touring production and reprised the role in a second world tour in 1992, directed by original Broadway choreographer, Larry Fuller.
Showing her comedic side, Valerie performed in the smash off-Broadway hit, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change at the Coronet Theater in Los Angeles. Other Broadway shows include: West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy with Marcia Lewis, Jesus Christ Superstar with Sam Harris and Carl Anderson, Annie Warbucks with Gavin McCleod, and Jerome Robbins Broadway with Tony Roberts.
Valerie is a recipient of a Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for her performance in the Pasadena Playhouse production of Harry Chapin: Lies and Legends. In northern California, she performed the dual roles of Gabby and Bobbi in American Musical Theater's production of City of Angels, and the role of Aldonza in Man of La Mancha for South Bay Cities CLO, as well as Santa Barbara's Civic Light Opera.
Ms. Perri has performed in concert at Wolftrap and in cities around the world, including Barcelona, Franfurt, London, and Paris. Also in concert, she sang in the World Premiere of Masada sharing the stage with David Gaines, Kim Strauss, Jon Voight, Rita Moreno, and Theodore Bikel.
Valerie's television and film credits include: Disney's original television musical Gepetto with Drew Carey, The Out of Towners with Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin, George of the Jungle with Brendan Frasier, Grease with John Travolta, Brooklyln Bridge, The Single Guy, Who's the Boss, Another World, Snoops, and The Human Factor with John Mahoney.
Valerie is married to CBS photographer, Cliff Lipson, and they have twin sons, Benjamin and Jack.
