J.D., LL.M.

Sierra Grandy, Esq.—licensed attorney and disabled neurodivergent advocate—delivers research-backed, story-driven sessions on neurodiversity, disability inclusion, and mental health that leave audiences informed, inspired, and ready to act. 150+ engagements.

Sierra Grandy, J.D., LL.M. is a neurodiversity educator, disability rights advocate, mental health keynote speaker, licensed attorney, and founder of Questify Your Life LLC—a Multimedia Storytelling Studio and Creative Guild based in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Sierra's work is rooted in the belief that lived experience and storytelling can change lives, and that inclusion requires both systemic change and individual effort. As a neurodivergent disabled person in long-term mental health recovery, Sierra openly shares her story about growing up in and out of mental health hospitals, developing chronic pain, receiving electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) while still in high school, losing a year of memory to ECT side effects, dropping out of college twice, navigating a late diagnosis of autism and ADHD while in law school, and ultimately building a career that centers her strengths and adjusts for her weaknesses.

With more than 150 speaking engagements over the past five years, Sierra has delivered keynotes, workshops, professional trainings, legal education presentations, conference breakout sessions, and multi-part workshop series to audiences ranging from judges and attorneys to HR professionals, corporate teams, mental health advocates, project managers, and community leaders. Her clients have included the Appellate Judges Education Institute, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), US Bank, Bowman and Brooke LLP, the Mental Health Technology Transfer Center, the Project Management Institute (Minnesota Chapter), National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), WP Engine, the Children's Law Center of Minnesota, and many more.

Sierra combines her personal experience with her rigorous academic background and extensive advocacy leadership. She holds a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School; an LL.M. in Comparative and International Tax Law from Uppsala University in Sweden (where her thesis examined accessibility barriers in the U.S. tax system for neurodivergent taxpayers); and a B.A. in Psychology, summa cum laude. She is a licensed attorney in Minnesota and has previously been a trained mediator.

Sierra’s advocacy extends beyond the stage:

  • She serves as Vice Chair of the Minnesota State Advisory Council on Mental Health, where she represents individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions and assists in drafting legislative recommendations on mental health policy, informs state leaders, and builds resources for local mental health advisory councils.
  • She is Co-Chair of the Engagement and Education Committee of the Minnesota Disability Bar Association.
  • She sits as Minnesota Representative and 2nd Vice Chair of the NAMI Peer Leadership Council, a national advisory body composed entirely of people with lived mental health experience.
  • She has also contributed her story to two volumes of NAMI’s nationally distributed “You Are Not Alone” book series.

Additionally, Sierra has developed a signature personal development framework, the Questify Your Life system, which uses gamification techniques and positive psychology research to help individuals and organizations approach long-term goals, well-being, and self-improvement with a spirit of adventure. Originally developed as a personal mental health recovery tool in 2019, the system is now woven throughout her work, including in her keynotes, workshops, and strategy work.

Sierra’s speaking style is warm, vulnerable, research-backed, and practical. She is consistently described by attendees as empowering, relatable, and transformative. She creates environments where people feel seen, informed, and equipped to create change; in themselves, their workplaces, and their communities.

Sierra is based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and is available to travel for speaking engagements, conferences, retreats, and trainings.
