Lashonda Lewis
PMP, CSM
WI, USWelcome! I’m Shonda, a speaker who blends authenticity with organizational strategy. I show how being your true self fuels productivity, creativity, and confidence. Drawing from leadership and community work, I share practical ways to build safe, empowering cultures where people thrive.
Shonda is the Founder and CEO of One Life at a Time Consulting, where she empowers individuals and organizations to rise into their full potential—leading with authenticity, positive energy, and purpose while creating spaces where people feel free to thrive, create, and succeed without fear of expectations or failure.
Born in Chicago and raised in Beloit, Wisconsin, Shonda attended the University of Wisconsin–Stout, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. During her time at UW–Stout, she received the Samuel E. Wood Medallion Leadership Award, the university’s highest non-academic honor, awarded to fewer than 10% of students in recognition of exceptional leadership.
After graduating, Shonda relocated to Madison, Wisconsin in 2016, where she spent over eight years in event management, partnering with organizations to design impactful, community-centered events and programs. Her passion for strategic execution led her into IT project management, where she earned both her Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications. She is currently furthering her education by pursuing her MBA at William Jewell College.
Shonda has created an impact in her community by serving both Fundraiser Chair and Vice President of the Urban League of Greater Madison Young Professionals, contributing to initiatives that support leadership development, scholarship funding, and community empowerment. She remains deeply committed to continuous personal growth, meaningful community impact, and empowering others to show up fully and authentically in every space they lead.
