Liz McGough is a resilience speaker, nonprofit founder, and emotional intelligence educator who has spent more than 16 years helping children and families heal from the impact of trauma and addiction. After growing up in a home affected by addiction, Liz transformed her lived experience into a national mission when she founded Horses Healing Hearts, an award-winning emotional wellness program that served hundreds of children and adults affected by substance use disorder. Her work has been featured on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, PBS, Woman’s World Magazine, and multiple national publications. Liz also testified before a bipartisan Congressional Task Force, elevating national awareness for children impacted by parental substance use disorders. Today, she brings her message of resilience, reinvention, and emotional intelligence to businesses, schools, associations, and healthcare organizations. With her signature blend of storytelling, insight, and actionable tools, Liz helps audiences navigate adversity, communicate with courage, and transform the stories they inherited into strength.
