For years, I was grinding close to a hundred hours a week—chasing success, chasing freedom, chasing something I couldn’t even define. The harder I pushed, the emptier I felt. I reached a point where I didn’t just lose my energy—I almost lost myself.
My mental health was unraveling, and there was a moment I nearly didn’t make it through.
That moment became my turning point. It wasn’t big changes that saved me—it was small, intentional ones. Choosing rest over another late night. Listening instead of reacting. Seeing conflict as connection, not combat. And choosing to play again—to bring curiosity, humor, and heart back into how I lead and live.
That mindset reshaped my life. It helped me sell two companies, build a third, and rediscover what it means to lead with character, connection, and calm.
Today, I help organizations, schools, and leaders do the same—manage conflict with confidence, strengthen communication, and build cultures where people feel valued, energized, and free to thrive.
I’m a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach, Conflict Resolution Specialist, and author of Character Evolution and How to Give the Best Speech Ever. I’m also a husband, father, bodybuilding champion, and President of Sunset Toastmasters.
