Colleen Davis

Colleen Davis

GAUTENG, ZA

While bringing hope and joy to the audience, Colleen addresses heavy subjects such as burnout, regenerative leadership in healthcare and other industries in a way that is light and leaves the audience engaged and happy.

Each stage of life has helped Colleen become the speaker she is:

Colleen started out as a Registered Nurse in South Africa and became an independent school nurse. After working with quirky kids in an independent school setting, she moved on to Learning and Development in healthcare (private hospital setting) where, after facing toxic leadership and the effect this had on the team, she devoted time to becoming a coach and expert in developing leaders. This was done in a setting of post apartheid South Africa where learning and development was affected by the previous regime's policies designed to disempower the indigenous communities. While she was doing this, she was raising kids, getting her blackbelt in Karate and fighting cancer.

Her focus is to empower and engage people in the audience, to reignite their passion, purpose and bring back joy into the workspace.

Her current interests are in regenerative leadership - looking at how our extractive, mechanised worldviews have brought about burnout and other modern maladies into the workspace. How shifting back to focusing on the regenerative way nature works, in diversity and relationships within ecosystems brings about sustainable success.

Her focus is getting back to human-based leadership where success comes from community and the collective Ubuntu versus the individualistic approach which brings about isolation and sabotage of self.

As a Certified John Maxwell leadership Coach, Speaker and Trainer - and a Certified Positive Intelligence Coach, she is able to bring this in to her talks, deepening on what the audience outcome is calling for.

As a strong, spiritual Christian, Colleen is able to speak to a religious audience and bring God into the talk in an effortless way that touches hearts and changes lives. When speaking to a non-spiritual audience, she doesn't speak overtly about God, but her deep compassion is evident to the audience.
