If you’re a leader feeling stuck in survival mode—constantly reacting, juggling chaos, and wondering why deeper thinking and real engagement feel harder than ever—you’re not alone. Katie Trowbridge has been there too. She’s worn the heels of a marketing manager, the flats of a teacher, and now the boots of a CEO on a mission to reimagine how we lead, learn, and connect.

Katie began her career climbing the corporate marketing ladder, fueled by ambition and dual Master’s degrees in Teaching and Educational Administration. But after too many soul-sucking meetings and surface-level wins, she realized something was missing. So she made a bold pivot into education—and found what she’d been searching for: curiosity that drives learning, connection that fuels growth, and the kind of thinking that dares to go deeper.

As an award-winning educator with over 20 years of experience, Katie has helped transform classrooms into places where ideas flourish, risks are welcomed, and students learn to think critically, creatively, and compassionately. She’s the creator of the CREATE Method—a practical and research-based framework that equips educators and leaders to foster curiosity, meaningful reflection, innovative thinking, and purposeful collaboration.

Today, Katie bridges exceptional educators' wisdom with the leadership world. She’s a best-selling author, TEDx speaker, national keynote presenter, and the CEO of Curiosity 2 Create. Her work helps school districts, after-school programs, and organizations across the country unlock deeper thinking, engagement, and innovation—without needing to start from scratch.

Whether she's working with teachers, superintendents, CEOs, or leadership teams, Katie’s message is clear: deeper thinking isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. In a world overflowing with information and noise, we need people who can pause, reflect, ask better questions, and lead with clarity and courage.

Katie is known for turning complexity into clarity, blending powerful storytelling with actionable strategies that audiences can immediately apply. Her sessions are not just inspiring—they’re catalytic. She challenges educators to teach for transformation, not just test scores. She empowers leaders to lead like great teachers: with purpose, empathy, and fearless curiosity. And she helps teams build cultures where trust, creativity, and critical thinking are not just talked about—they’re lived.

Katie’s impact stretches across schools, conference stages, boardrooms, and community organizations. She’s the author of several books, including Deeper Thinking in the Classroom, The Deeper Thinking Companion Guide, and The Adventures of the Curious Creators’ Club. Her upcoming books explore how the same principles that create thriving classrooms—curiosity, creativity, connection, and courageous thinking—can transform leadership, parenting, and personal growth.

Her work is grounded in real-world experience and current research. As she pursues her Ed.D. in Innovative Teaching and Learning from Northeastern University, Katie continues to explore how deeper thinking can solve real problems and spark lasting change in education, leadership, and life.

With Katie’s guidance, communities can expect to build lifelong learners and forward-thinking leaders who approach every challenge with curiosity, clarity, and compassion. Her vision is one where classrooms and companies alike become thriving spaces of reflection, collaboration, and meaningful growth.

Katie has received numerous accolades for her contributions to the field, including the Teacher of Excellence and Outstanding Educator awards. But what drives her isn’t recognition—it’s the belief that every learner, educator, and leader deserves the chance to think deeply, act boldly, and live fully.

Through her organization, Curiosity 2 Create, Katie leads a national movement to replace rote learning and reactive leadership with bold questions, creative problem-solving, and human-centered transformation. She also runs Curiosity 2 Connect, a vibrant community for educators who want to foster connection, creativity, and courageous thinking in their schools.

Whether you’re leading a team, teaching a class, raising a family, or designing the future, you don’t need more worksheets or quick fixes. You need to take advantage of deeper thinking - curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and connection.

In our efforts to continually improve the teaching experiences of our faculty, and provide optimal educational experiences for our clients, we sought the assistance of Curiosity2Create and Katie Trowbridge. We felt confident they would be able to deliver in all aspects outlined in their contract. We were surprised and delighted to be provided with their wealth of classroom experiences, great Motown music, wonderful sense of humor, and new insights on how to really reach out to our students and staff during Professional Development Day coaching. Finding a consulting team to ferry us through “bumps in the road” has been somewhat challenging in the past, often due to our student population, which is largely composed of impoverished students from varied backgrounds which include single-parent homes, and in some instances homes where abuse has been in evidence. We have historically also had a significant number of IEP students. Those were situations that Katie Trowbridge of Curiosity2Create had experienced first-hand, so just finding folks with similar experiences was a huge plus for our teaching staff, and something they were able to relate to immediately. Our staff felt comfortable talking to Katie about their most challenging classroom scenarios, and Katie was wonderful about proposing some new, innovative methods for developing deeper and faster trust, rapport and communication with our students. We believe the value offered to us by Katie and her team were excellent, particularly in light of the fact it included the opportunity of additional one-on-one coaching after our Professional Development Day had concluded. Capstone Academy would definitely recommend Curiosity2Create and looks forward to hosting them again in the future for a refresher course.

I appreciate Katie Trowbridge so much. I genuinely believe in what you are doing to help teachers be the best educators we can be. Knowing that there is a support system of other educators who also think creatively and are willing to help me develop better ways to support my students is an amazing thing. I have started trying to use the CREATE method more and I like the way it is making me think about what I am doing in the classroom and if it is productive or not. Thank you for all that you and your team are doing. I am excited to see what is next.
