Transform Your Adversity Into Adventure

Former professional motocross champion Aaron Baker, is a recovering quadriplegic husband, father, author, orator, adventure athlete, entrepreneur and ambassador for spinal cord injury. He co-founded the Center Of Restorative Exercise and represents Red Bull’s non-profit charity - Wings For Life Foundation as a member of the Board Of Directors, USA and Chairman of the Ambassador Council.

He also sits on the Board of Directors for Los Angeles based non-profit, Artists For Trauma and is the Spinal Cord Injury Lifestyle Specialist and author for Shield Healthcare, Permobil, Boost Oxygen, and contributor for the Huffington Post.

From the onset of his injury, his focus was on maximizing his quality of life through consistent, long-term restorative exercise. Throughout his process of recovery, Aaron has accredited to his name numerous world's firsts including: two cross-country cycling tours, former member of the United States Paralympic Cycling Team with a 2011 Paracycling National Championship title, two Mammoth Mountain Bike Games adaptive class championships, and two Skyscraper Stair Climb awards. Additionally, a documentary film was released through Netflix and Amazon, “Coming to my Senses”, covering a 20 mile solo trek across the infamous Death Valley desert in California.

“Lying there in the dirt motionless and completely aware of my plight brought forth a life altering realization of my place in life. No longer a professional motorcycle rider, or skate boarder, surfer, snowboarder, mountain biker, or even a simple fisherman made me realize that I am destined to do far greater things in my life than winning championships aboard a motorcycle. Things that affect peoples lives. I can help people through my own adversity bringing hope and inspiration to those without”.

From his recently published memoir "The Rebellious Recovery"

"My achievements do little to contribute to the world unless they illustrate something fundamental about me and about you. May my history inspire and provoke you to think of your own story as an adventure and for the construct of these pages to become a mirror for your mind, a portal to travel forward and back and expand exponentially.”

Aaron's message is human empowerment, possibility and service. He illustrates the liberty of self-awareness and mindful movement, and frames his message with six fundamental principles by which he lives and teaches today.
