Hailey Evans has been challenging the norm since her teenage years when she graduated from high school one year early so that she could get a jump-start on college. As an honor student, her dreams abruptly changed when she learned that she was pregnant one month before graduation. Instead, she married her high school sweetheart and had her son, Andrew, when she was just 17 years old. She decided to put her college plan on hold to invest time into her family, knowing that her sacrifice would be best for her family long term. Her son, Alex, followed two years later.
After fourteen years of marriage she became a single mother and her most humbling experience was applying for food stamps and Medicaid. Determined to persevere, she then earned three college degrees in five years, all debt-free through grants and scholarships, while working full-time to support her sons. From 2014-2015, she earned five prestigious university awards, was featured in numerous publications, and spoke on behalf of the Office for Philanthropy and the Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Coastal Carolina University.
Hailey started Evans Custom Interiors in 2023 with the goal of closing the gap between builders and their customers during the selections process. As a solopreneur, her business soon experienced explosive growth. Within twelve months her team had completed 75 projects, grossed over $200K in revenue and grown to a team of ten! Net profit margins were 30%, despite having no interior design experience. In addition, she achieved the goal of her company becoming self-managing so that she could pursue other passions.
Hailey lives in Anderson, SC, and is married to, Tim Evans, a hospital CFO. Her son, Andrew, is a licensed commercial and residential builder. Her son, Alex, is married and training as a pilot in our U.S. Air Force.
Hailey thrives on motivating others through servant leadership, by effectively communicating vision and strategic planning, while empowering others to reach their full potential. By identifying gifts in those around her, she inspires others to find their God-given purpose. She encourages the mindset that obstacles can be easily transformed into opportunities.
