Brickman Allen

AZ, US

Cowboy, Survivor, protector, Brickman is unique as his name. A masterful storyteller, inspiring people live outside of fears, mediocrity, limitations and ones own troubles so they can inspire others.

Brickman Allen has spent the last 2 decades teaching others the path to self-discovery and inspiring them to live with greater purpose. Brick has never done well living inside other people’s expectations, or being told what he cannot do or will not be able to accomplish. Brick refers to His unique approach to life as “living outside”, living outside expectations, limits, fear, hatred and one’s self.

In 2003, Brick and his wife Malinda woke up to  an intruder in their home and who attacked them in their sleep, leaving Brick on life support fighting for his life with doctors telling Malinda to prepare to say goodbye as he would likely not recover.

When he was taken off life support, he was given the grim prognosis that his recovery would keep him in the hospital for up to 6 months.

Brick shares not only how he was able to walk out of the hospital a short 9 days later, but how he learned to overcome anger and hatred, fear, depression and find purpose in every experience.

Brick speaks at schools, sharing stories of going from being bullied relentlessly with suicidal thoughts to becoming an advocate for inclusion. Connecting with students through anecdotes of being taped to trees and the overwhelming fear that came in just walking the halls, Brick empowers students with tools to “Live Outside” their current circumstance; inspiring students to be the catalyst for change.

As a professional, Brick applied the principle of “living outside” by shattering glass ceilings in corporate positions as well as building several thriving businesses. Using his experiences to teach others how they can reach their greatest potential and happiness professionally and in their personal lives, Brick’s strategy of “Living Outside” helps leaders to increase  productivity and improve workplace culture. His corporate leadership mastermind uses his living outside approach that increases employee retention and leadership insight and innovation.

The unique experiences he has had throughout his life challenged Brick, giving unique insight as he passed through the darkness of depression and PTSD to find his own inner strength.
