Paris Bartholomew

Paris Bartholomew

MA (Hons)

LDN, UK

A powerful, passionate, inspiration speaker with a story of hope & trauma, which will leave your audiences crying, laughing and on 'a high'.

Paris Bartholomew is an extraordinary individual with a compelling and inspiring life story. A story of resilience, adversity and hope. As well as her childhood story making the national press many years ago, she has had the unfortunate experience of being a child whose parents also made the press, for more disturbing & shocking reasons.

Despite facing significant challenges and traumatic experiences during her childhood in the care system, she has demonstrated immense resilience, courage and strength. Her ability to rise above her circumstances and transform her life into a successful and meaningful journey, is a testament to her determination and character. Along with lived-experience of care, mental health and invisible disability, Paris uniquely has a career spanning years of teaching, lecturing and training. She has a Degree in Education and Psychology, making her a speaker with knowledge, heart, soul and energy.

Her unique approach to storytelling, captivates her audience by providing a frank and honest account of her life, without shying away from the painful and disturbing aspects of her past. Paris’ emphasis on survival and resilience resonates with her listeners, as she challenges them to overcome their own adversities and inspire others to do the same.

In 2023 Paris was nominated for a King's Honour due to her outstanding work with communities; she currently works as a Samaritans volunteer and boats an impressive 25 years of work with other charities, including Crisis, Action for Children and Barnardo's.

Paris is a finalist in the CPD Trainer of the Year Awards 2023, enjoys Tai Chi, mediation and is currently on Level 2 British Sign Language (BSL).
