Kristin Light
Inspiring Workplaces Where Every Mind Finds its Groove ~ Mental Health & Neurodiversity Expert ~ Certified in LEGO™ Serious Play ~ Vivacious performer and frequent audience favourite ~ Tenacious dork.
Kristin Light brings her dynamic expertise as a tenacious advocate, captivating storyteller, and delightfully charismatic entertainer to every stage she graces.
Multiply neurodivergent with a flair for turning real-life challenges into tangible insights, Kristin weaves cutting-edge research with personal stories, candid perspective, and conscientious guidance — making complex ideas refreshingly relatable and driving meaningful change worth raving about.
A senior engagement and communications strategist, she recently channeled both her professional and lived experience to manage a federal grant (received through the Canadian Association for Supported Employment's Innovation Lab program) to build a neuroinclusion and suicide prevention program for Canada's rail construction industry.
As a creative and engaging corporate experience facilitator, Kristin couples the LEGO™ Serious Play methodology with progressive inclusion strategy to create welcoming and affirming onboarding sessions, team building workshops, and strategic planning labs. Her innovative process for navigating difficult conversations within employee focus groups has met with stellar reviews from participants and executives alike.
Kristin is a proud Board Member with DiverseMinds magazine; certified in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills); a trained Mental Health First Aider; and a recent graduate of the University of New Brunswick's Psychologically Safe Leadership program.
Kristin’s performing arts career spanned over two decades on both stage and screen. Her choreography skills have been featured in dozens of musical theatre productions, dance showcases, live events, and in more than a few weddings. She was co-owner of Toronto’s Bees’ Knees Dance studio (2014-2019), a founding member of the award-winning dance troupe That Swing!, and in constant demand as a jazz-age vintage dance instructor. Kristin made her film debut in Mariah Carey’s notorious Glitter (blink and you’ll miss it!).
As a vivacious showgirl and successful entrepreneur, Kristin was perhaps the last person you’d expect to be living with severe mental illness. Her relentless battle has made her a psychiatric hospital regular, and she now speaks out to provide real insight and practical strategies that demystify the facts surrounding mental illness and neurodivergence using inspirational (and often hilarious) stories from her own personal and professional life.
With her signature blend of theatrical humour and charming nostalgia, Kristin delivers an impactful experience that’ll be the talk of your event long after the curtains close.

Life is more a multi-volume chronicle than a single...
