A career in fashion design led her from receiving her Fashion Design Degree (Phi Theta Kappa) in San Francisco from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to Los Angeles where she designed fashion for several major labels such as BCBG Max Azria, Splendid/ Ella Moss, Bebe, Tommy Bahama, AG Jeans, and Michael Stars. Estyn also was a professional performer and has performed on stage for crowds in the tens of thousands, including the playboy jazz festival at the Hollywood Bowl for over 40,000 attendees, and various choice venues for live band outdoor stage shows or music videos and live TV.

Estyn first discovered her passion for speaking after participating in a charity benefit for the Heifer Organization (ending world hunger) and speaking with the audience about the benefactor and how audience support is helping to provide relief to those suffering of hunger and poverty. Winning the title Miss Brazilian Summer Beauty 2011.

Shortly afterwards relocating to Germany to embark on family life. Facing the shock of motherhood right alongside the difficulty of having moved from a high profile city life to the remote countryside where she did not speak or understand the local language. Estyn faced post partum depression and an identity crises. Estyn kept busy, traveled a LOT, and started her fashion collection. Her work received the silver award for excellence in design from the international design competition A’ Design in 2018. She also learned to speak German. The importance of clear effective communication, body language, and non-verbal exchanges became crystal clear.

Estyn faced harrowing challenges in her family life and finally returned to Los Angeles in 2019. Lockdowns in 2020 meant going through the matters of international child custody and abduction prevention. The honorable Judge Steven Cochran ruled in her favor. Estyn joined the Costume Designers Guild (IATSE 892) as an illustrator. She simultaneously converted to become a Roman Catholic by Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. During this time she achieved certifications in Ethical Leadership, SHRM Leadership, Interpersonal Communications, and Image Consulting.

In 2022, Estyn received the annual Award from the AICI / FIT (Nyc) for her work in Image Consulting. She is an active lector at her local parish where she has performed readings for Bishop Marc Trudeau.

In 2025 Estyn won the Toastmasters Division 1 speaking competition for humor in Los Angeles, CA. She was the emcee for the first annual Tepeyac Leadership Gala in Phoenix Arizona for Bishop Thomas Olmstead. She was a nominal guest speaker at the Vote Run Lead Action National Leadership Training in Atlanta Georgia.

She is currently working on the release of her upcoming book to correspond with her existing online self-led course The Estyn Elan Style System. She offers group workshops, private consulting, and of course, mothering her two beloved children. When she has free time she enjoys music, dancing, skating at the beach, reading, time in nature, and finding new ways to learn and explore the meaning of existence. Estyn is on a mission to elevate the style, spirit, and sophistication of mankind.

• Estyn began learning to sew at age 5, at the side of her mother. The tradition of embroideries and dressmaking has been handed down from generation to generation in the family. Her mother made costumes for the American Conservatory Theater.
