Heather Jo Kennedy
Heather Jo knows how to build individuals and teams. With expertise in leadership, she champions six overlooked principles of productivity that identify "Starters." Providing a new way to look at influencers, she helps leaders maximize their impact and also identify the starters in their organization.
Raised in Dallas, Texas as the daughter of a prominent athlete for the Dallas Cowboys (QB Danny White), I learned the value of good teams. That environment taught me how to recognize critical relationships and how they mattered.
I am a million-dollar business owner, author, speaker and coach with hobbies all over the board, not to mention, a wife of twenty four years and a proud mother of four. And I do it without coffee! It's not simple, but I’ve learned the art of balance in life and have a knack for getting more hours out of the day than most. My biggest trick is a focal point in my keynotes; establishing and nurturing the right relationships.
I’m passionate about young people! There's a gap that often looms between them and their elder generations. Having worked extensively with teens and young adults, I’ve come to understand the struggles they face and the strengths they possess, and how both often go unrealized. I love these people. As a concerned adult and parent myself, I aim to educate on how to be catalysts instead of critics.
My most popular topics include:
- For Starters: Invest in yourself and your team by learning the six characteristics of "Starters": Gratitude, Identity, Relationships, Action, Giving, and Finishing. One of the most neglected critical relationships is with Self. I'll help you prioritize You without over-feeding your ego and identify your biggest influencers.
AUDIENCE: leaders (youth and adults), entrepreneurs, team leaders, seekers of change
FOCUS/OUTCOME: ownership and accountability, clarity of influencers, motivation to get moving
- Connect to Gen Z: Being a leader has specific challenges, and recognizing your starters is one. The youngest adults in 2025, Gen Z is bursting into the workforce. The culture they were raised in being vastly different from that of the older generations, leaves a chasm to bridge if we are to work effectively together. I've spent 20+ years working with young adults and know how to fill that gap. I'll use feedback straight from Gen Z to teach you how.
AUDIENCE: managers, coaches and admin of Gen Z cohorts
FOCUS/OUTCOME: first, connection and then retention in practical everyday environments
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: Growing up under the spotlight also taught me composure under scrutiny and I've come to value the art of presentation. In 1997 I won the state title for America's Junior Miss Scholarship Program and represented Arizona at the National Program that same year in Mobile, Alabama.
As a business owner myself, I understand many of the struggles in the workforce. After receiving a BA Cum Laude from Utah State University, I teamed up with my husband and we embraced entrepreneurship. We have owned and operated two entities which have seen positive growth each year even through the COVID 19 pandemic.
Through many natural roles in my life, I have developed a gift for communicating and coaching. As a certified coach, I shine the light on strengths and struggles for organizations and individuals alike. I provide simple yet effective tools to help establish sustainable direction and momentum so potential is reached.

Verified @slcc.eduHeather was the keynote speaker at a conference for child care providers. Her presentation was electrifying and held the audience spellbound. Many of the attendees later mentioned that she said exactly what they needed to hear. I can't recommend Heather high enough.
