Philosophy
Creating a life that we love living, where we are energized, focused, and deeply inspired, depends upon our ability to recognize and shift our perspective, decisions, and behavioral patterns to meet our personal needs while we pursue and achieve our professional priorities. Life and career are not things to “endure” but rather to embrace and enjoy as we create, grow, and evolve. When we are exhausted, overwhelmed, or just not clear on our goals and the path to attain them, it is anything but joy!
For many people, choosing to grow a professional career has historically meant living with the unspoken expectation of keeping personal wellness and life wholeness at a “healthy” distance. Ironically, doing that is anything but healthy.
Unfortunately, you already know this; your team members and colleagues already know it. If you’ve been in a professional career for any length of time, you are likely already feeling the mental and physical exhaustion that comes from always trying to meet the demands around you – clients/customers, colleagues, management, family, friends, and the myriad of administrative “to-do’s” that we each juggle day in and day out. But…
•When we throw ourselves toward professional aspirations with no consideration for our wellbeing… we disengage.
•When we live, week after week, thinking, “I’ll take care of me soon, but not today…” we burn out.
•When we consistently put our needs on the backburner – we create distress, dis-ease, and debilitation.
Done long enough, we begin living like robots at our best and zombies at our worst. We have become unable to create health, wellness, and joy for ourselves or for those around us; we can no longer contribute our creative and innovative best but rather find ourselves just going through the motions, day after day.
But there is an alternative to that vicious cycle of depletion. When we give ourselves the ability to attend to our personal priorities and stay focused, disciplined, and consistent on serving our fundamental health and wellness needs first, as part of our professional baseline, we become… unstoppable.
The result is the ability to enjoy our life and our career, and to be centered,
calm, strong, and confident.
In essence, we tap into the power of The Zen Within®.
