Constanza Roeder, a thought leader in Arts in Health, is on a mission to improve your health and well-being through the arts. The arts and the power of community helped facilitate her healing after a diagnosis of Leukemia at the age of 13.
After her experience with Leukemia, she trained as a singer. She knew the arts could significantly improve the healthcare experience, so she packed up her keyboard and started rolling it from room to room to sing for cancer patients at hospitals. Her patients begged for more art and music, so she founded Hearts Need Art: Creative Support for Patients and Caregivers. The nonprofit combats anxiety, depression, and social isolation by using the arts to create joy, self-expression, and connection with those facing life-altering health challenges. She ministered at the bedside of thousands of patients, and under her leadership, Hearts Need Art has reached tens of thousands of patients and caregivers.
Now an in-demand speaker and consultant, she wants to transform how you care for yourself and others by re-framing and reclaiming the healing power of your creativity.
After a recent event, presentation expert Nancy Duarte said, "I think that might have been the most powerful Keynote I have ever sat through. Unbelievable. The reaction from my staff is staggering. Constanza is spectacular!"
Constanza received the 2018 Graceann Durr Humanitarian Award and was selected as one of the Top 100 Healthcare Visionaries by the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare for 2021. Her work has been featured in various publications such as ThriveGlobal, Authority Magazine, Ticker News, National Association of Teachers of Singing, San Antonio Express-News, and the cover of MD News Magazine.
