Dr. Kati Peditto is a design researcher and keynote speaker with a PhD in Human Behavior and Design from Cornell University. She studies how the built environment affects human cognition, mood, and health, and has spent over a decade bringing that research inside the design process at three of the top design firms in the world.
She founded Built Experience Lab in 2025 and now consults with architecture and design firms while speaking to corporate leaders, healthcare executives, HR professionals, and educators across the world.
Her keynote, Design in Mind: The Science of Where You Are, traces design from ancient healing environments to modern offices, schools, and hospitals. Audiences leave reading every room differently and knowing what to do about it.
She is EDAC certified, a WELL Faculty member, and a recipient of the New Investigator Award from the Center for Health Design. Her research has been featured in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and the BBC.
