"Resilience is a skill, recovery is a strategy, and reinvention is always possible.” Dr. AJ

Dr. AnJenette Afridi, PsyD, MA, known as Dr. AJ, is a Performance Medicine Psychologist, Keynote Speaker, Certified Virtual Presenter, Performance & Longevity Expert, and Founder of TriEdge Leadership® Performance Medicine. A trusted voice in executive performance and a leader in the science of sustainable high-performance, Dr. AJ delivers compelling keynotes that move organizations beyond check-the-box initiatives and into measurable, lasting capacity where it matters most.

“As a Performance Medicine Psychologist, I have spent decades examining what fuels—and what fractures—human capacity through the lens of Behavioral Neuroscience, Performance Psychology, and Organizational Psychology. My work is grounded in evidence and designed for leaders operating in high-pressure environments where clarity, resilience, and sustainable high performance are non-negotiable. Sustainable high performance is a mindset, a commitment, and above all, an operating system.”

Based in the heart of San Francisco and Silicon Valley, Dr. AJ is available for in-person keynotes, executive offsites, and high-stakes leadership events throughout the Bay Area—and offers virtual delivery worldwide with flexible booking, zero travel delays, and elite-level presence.

Dr. AJ holds, with highest honors, a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Behavioral Science, a Master’s degree (MA) in Performance Psychology, an Organizational Psychology Certification, and over 15 years of post-graduate education in Complementary Medicine at Harvard Medical School. With early roots as a theatre professional and a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Drama and Theatre Arts, she brings a commanding presence and magnetic delivery to the stage.

Her work blends rigorous academic training with real-world application to optimize the biological, Psychological, and Environmental Performance Edge of leaders and teams. Dr. AJ is an active member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), NSA of Northern California (NSANC), an eSpeakers certified virtual presenter, and a lifelong member of the American Psychological Association (APA).

Dr. AJ's award-winning master's project, Participation Motivation, earned the Certificate of Honor, which reflected her early commitment to understanding the science behind human drive. Her doctoral project research, Ultra-Processed Foods and Mental Health, was a 276-page investigation into how ultra-processed foods (UPFs) impact biological, psychological, socio-economical, and socio-environmental performance.

Adapted into the professional white paper, The Performance Cost of UPFs: Why Leaders Can’t Afford Ultra-Processed Fuel, her work is designed to inform, empower, and elevate high-performing leaders, teams, and organizations. It reflects Dr. AJ’s commitment to translating cutting-edge science into actionable strategies that strengthen the mental, physical, and emotional performance edge central to TriEdge Leadership® Performance Medicine. Her research is also in development as a book.
