After leaving an abusive relationship with two small children, she turned her small in-home childcare into Loving Arms Childcare and Preschool, the largest African-American, Woman-Owned, Nationally-Accredited childcare facility in her region. Loving Arms Childcare and Preschool is one of only five Nationally-Accredited childcare and preschool centers in the state of Kansas.
Loving Arms Enterprises, her multi-million dollar company, now encompasses several entities including an online educational platform, a real estate company that will develop housing for abuse survivors, and a personal branding company.
LaFarris is also a sought-after speaker, author, and philanthropist. She has received numerous awards for her leadership and commitment to serving others, including recognition as an Enterprising Woman of the Year and Captain of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Voices representing Kansas.
