NY, USMy name is Leah Jantzen and I empower the audience to triumph over obstacles, shatter limiting beliefs, catalyze action and achieve remarkable results.
Leah Jantzen is an elite endurance athlete, mental performance coach, motivational speaker and mother of four children ages 11-20. She finds the time to compete in the Boston Marathon every spring and recently raced at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii in October 2022. Known for her exceptional interviewing skills, she served as guest host on nearly ten other shows. Her sparkling personality easily shines through, while she offers credible insights into timely current events and proven advice to viewers.
Accomplishments:
*12 time Marathon finisher including 4x Boston finisher with a PR of 3:17:57 landing her in the top 20 USA runners in her age group (45-49)
*3x Ironman finisher-placed 2nd in Ironman Chattanooga earning her a slot to race in Kona, Hawaii, the "Super Bowl" of triathlon in October 2022
*6x Half-ironman finisher including 4 podium finishes qualifying her to race in Ironman Worlds, the 70.3 Championship in Taupo, New Zealand
*Multiple road race finishes notably winning Masters at 10 Mile race in NY, 1st place out of 437 women (1:07:40), 2nd place Overall at Caumsett 25K
*Ultra marathon 50K time of 4:05:37 placing her in top 10 in national USATF sanctioned race
Proving the maxim that it’s never too late to chase your dreams, Leah ran her first marathon at the age of 42. Upon crossing the finish line, the mother of four was immediately hooked, spring-boarding from one marathon to the next, and going on to compete in triathlons. After consistently finishing in the top 2% of her age group, she ultimately qualified for the Iron Man World Championships in Kona, Hawaii in 2020, an unthinkable feat just a few short years ago.
“If you can combine visualization, action, and positivity, then there’s really nothing that’s off-limits,” says Leah, who worked as a life coach for years before trying her hand at serious athletic competition. “But even as a long-time believer in this principle, I subconsciously allowed self-limiting beliefs to creep into my psyche. Identifying those beliefs, figuring out why they were there, and then proving them to be untrue is one of the most immensely satisfying experiences of my life. Everyone has these limiting beliefs, and I want everyone whose life I touch to experience that same incredible feeling of overcoming them—and realizing that they’re capable of anything.”
Leah is a high school guidance counselor and Mental Health and Performance Coach at Ward Melville High School, a position she created after seeing a need in her student athletes for mental health support. She holds a masters degree in School Counseling, a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from CW Post College at Long Island University and is a certified Mental Performance Coach.
