Ed.D., MCC

Dr. Loubna Noureddin is a leadership scholar, orphans advocate, civil war survivor, and co-founder of Mind Market Consultants, a resource and coaching centre for organizations and startups

My PhD is in Organizational Development & Leadership.
My mission is to expose human potential.
And my story isn't for the faint of heart...

I once woke up to the hot end of a rifle pressed into my forehead. I was ten years old, Sierra Leone was on the edge of civil war, and when there's an impending battle at your doorstep, you're likely to get some early, unwelcome visitors. In our case, it was rebels from neighboring cities out to thieve whatever valuables they could find. My family and I managed to flee into the darkness of our nearby jungle that night - the life we had (along with my coveted teddy bear) were left behind.

Change can come suddenly. And other people's conflicts and agendas rarely have concerns for what you hold dear.

And this was just my first civil war. The second was in Lebanon during most of my adolescence and college years. Weird isn't it that University happens while bombs detonate in the distant neighborhoods. Human beings are very adaptable. Which is a useful quality.

But often we need to stop and question what it is we're adapting to.

These were difficult times. But eventually, I made my way to Canada as a refugee against my family's wishes.

And as someone who ultimately earned a PhD in organization and leadership, spent over 20 years in corporate, and who now consults outside of it, what I can't help but notice is this:

You can only demand compliance from your people for so long. And retaliation comes in three different forms - Escape (employees quit). Clash (they develop and fight for their own agenda). Hide (they do the minimum and stay out of trouble).

Organizations with the most noble agenda can create the most toxic environments. And just because a new leadership regime is "successful" on paper, it doesn't mean inhouse talent hasn't been suppressed. And that company loyalty hasn't been destroyed in the midst of too much rapid, mindless change.

Trust me, if you want to waste potential, put people in a situation where they spend their energy surviving instead of engaging their talents and contributing to strong cultures that sustain and run on united purpose.

No matter what conflicts arise on your path - you and your team are so much more than your survival skills

And I can prove it.

Other work that has my heart…

My company and fundraising covers the basic needs - food, lodging, toiletries and healthcare items - of twenty orphans in Africa. Going forward, our mission is to educate and facilitate career transitions for at least 100 orphaned children.

Here's to a compassionate, dignified world,

Loubna

The professional stuff..

My extensive career of 20+ years has been dedicated to posturing leaders and teams for success by shifting beliefs and behaviors that get in the way of sustainable results.

I bring into the mix a global experience in healthcare, higher education, logistics, government and the non-profit sector. I am a Forbes Business Council and known for her work with Harvard Manage Mentor to design customized leadership development programs.

My passion for training has positioned my programs at the Top 10 by Training Magazine, the Association for Talent Development and American Healthcare Association. I partner with you to problem solve, get to the root cause, and identify solutions that are practical, measurable and sustainable.

I don't want to bore you with my list of certifications and there are about 20 of them, if you're interested.
