Build successful, visionary, committed, values-based teams with a forward-thinking, progressive, knowledgeable, innovative, values-oriented professional.

The Problem Solver, Turnaround Nurse

Virginia R. Carreon has over 43 years of experience in all Acute and Post Acute Care areas since 1976.  Her management career in nursing started immediately on her first job as a Critical Care Nurse, where she was promoted to the Head Nurse position within six months of hire.

She is well known as a “people developer,” problem solver, and the “turnaround” Home Health Consultant. Home Health Agencies in crisis call on Virginia Carreon to help them improve performance, solve quality care failures, communication, and collaboration issues, and build high-performing teams. She has turned around Home Health Agencies that have failed Joint Commission and Department of Health Surveys.  As a "people developer", she has mentored nurses to aspire and achieve entrepreneurial success and rise up to leadership positions in their organizations.

In the years she has been in Home Health, she has had firsthand experience in what Home Health Nurse Managers go through daily, the challenges, problems, and issues they face, and the toll this puts on their personal and family life.

With her wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise, Virginia wrote "The Home Health Nurse Manager's Survival Guide to Avoiding Burnout and Work-Life Balance Struggles: 12 Mistakes to Avoid in Creating a Positive Work Culture without Compromising Your Family and Personal Values" to help Home Health Nurse Managers create a positive working environment where everyone communicates well with each other, collaborates to produce positive results and provide the best quality of care without sacrificing family and personal values.

Virginia is an author,  Corporate Facilitator, DISC Certified Consultant,  Maxwell Leadership Executive Coach, Trainer, Speaker, and Certified Home Care Manager.
