Kyle Beers
Have you or your team lost confidence? The challenges keep stacking, and facing them seems impossible? Kyle is here to teach the 7 feathers (principles) to find your phoenix and FLY with confidence.
Kyle went through elementary school and junior high as an average kid with average grades and a goofy grin with four layers of teeth. In meeting his orthodontist Dr. Prince, he knew he had found his dream career. Wait, if he found his dream career, why am I reading this? Have you ever been almost there on a dream, but then decide to "be responsible" instead? Kyle talks about the devastation of passing up a dream to "do the right thing" only to find, that leads to a dead end.
What do you do when you're at a dead end? Do you claim the territory and build a statue? Or do you face the reality of the situation, pivot and move in a different direction? How does picking the new direction feel? Having to face these questions Kyle discovered 7 feathers any phoenix needs to rise back out of the ashes of being at the dead end.
The 7 feathers (principles)
P - Physcilogical/Mental health - Why mental health? Some challenges we face need to be looked at from different perspectives. Having a therapist, coach, or even journal to get out of your head and see that it's not as bad or good as it seems from our perspective alone can be invaluable.
H - Hobbies - What does a hobby do for you? Having a hobby may sound silly, but it can allow the mind to work through problems while focusing on something else. Whether it is repairing something, enjoying the outdoors, or crafting something find an outlet where you mind can relax. House hold chores or mowing the lawn can lead to inspiration.
O - Opening your heart - Have you been burned by someone? It can be hard to let the next person in after those kinds of experiences. Setting good boundaries can protect our heart or proprietary information while helping us to navigating the challenges on relationships.
E - Energy - Energy can change quickly, are you aware when it does? Working on becoming aware of what is going on around you can expand your ability to serve. It is easy to get lost in negative patterns when things aren't going our way, but by pausing, becoming aware (listening with an openness to learn) then we can be grateful for the lesson and apply the new knowledge faster.
N - Noble Pursuits - Have you ever set a goal? Of course you have, but why? Goal setting and accomplishing goals drives innovation and growth. That's noble and reasonable for a business or person to do. How are the members of you team doing at achieving their noble pursuits inside and outside your business? Often goal setting becomes a task list, let's flip that back into an alive list. What can I do that will make me feel alive in my job, relationships, and increase my self-esteem and confidence?
I - Include Others - We all need connection. How do we include others? Sometimes it's a simple greeting. Other times it can be inviting a new person to the dinner party or for drinks after work. However it is done making space for another at the table can build new bridges. Partnerships can lead to new profitable ventures. Taking the chance may not lead somewhere, but if never extended it can never lead to something good either.
X - Excitement, Experiment, Exercise - How can you build an environment of curiosity? Try new things, and be curious about the experience without judgement. Traveling or going to a new restaurant is fun for this reason. It is part of being child-like that allows us to expand our knowledge of the world around us and see what we do and don't like. How can you use judgment to clear pathways to accomplishing the noble pursuits and honor your energy (boundaries)? When we judge something, our brain turns off to that and we stop learning about that thing. Both are powerful and useful tools, curiosity and judgement.
Filled with inspiring, emotion filled stories Kyle will teach your organization how to implement these principles so each individual can remember that they matter to you and that as they take personal responsibility in their work, relationships, and personal life they can grow in meaningful ways that are mutually beneficial to you, them, and your clients.
