Katherine has designed a unique program to bring strength and flexibility to the body for golfers.
Katherine Roberts has been a yoga instructor for 8 years and a fitness for 20. She grew up in a golf family and hit upon the idea of pairing yoga and golf when she saw how it improved her own game. Katherine is life long golfer with a 16 handicap regularly advises those at corporate outings on how to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. At outings, Roberts typically conducts one-to-three hour workshops for a diverse group of clients including Seagrams, VH1, and SmithKline. Katherine has designed a very unique program to bring greater strength and flexibility to the body for golfers. The Yoga for Golfers program will implement a series of exercises that slowly, gently and effectively move your body towards greater strength and flexibility. All golfers have experienced the frustration of a compromised rotation in our golf swing, the tightness in the shoulder, neck and low back areas. The definition of yoga is the "union of body and mind". This is the key element of the Yoga for Golfers program, distinguishing her philosophy from standard stretching exercises. Golfers will focus on breathing, experiencing the ability to control their breath, enabling them to control their minds. Controlling your breathing will categorically affect your mind and body. Katherine has many testimonials from devoted professional golfers including: Tim Yavello, PGAa Golf Professional, Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; Joseph M. Jones, Head PGA Golf Professional, Arizona State University Karsten Golf Course, Tempe, Arizona; and Bruce Warren Ollstein, Captain "O" Super coach and bestselling author, Combat Golf. After doing Yoga for Golfers, I too, can now bend like the leaf in a subtle -breeze. And I am on the Senior Tour!" Gary McCord, Professional golfer and CBS Broadcaster
