Cyprian Yobera
32 years of Leadership in the nonprofit sector specialising in adding value to the down-trodden, while also engaging the well todo, being their conduit to giving back to the society.
For two and a half years I served as priest in-charge of youth after my ordination at the All Saints Cathedral ACK Church. For 3 years, I served as Team Leader of the five churches on the Eccles Team – directly in-charge of two. I served the Eccles team a total of 6 years. Previous to this, for 9 years I served in youth, family and community outreach, under The Message Trust and Christ Church Harpurhey, Manchester. At Christ Church, I was also in-charge of Evangelism and Outreach as part of the leadership team. I have sixteen years experience in youth ministry serving with Kenya Youth for Christ, ten of which I directed the ministry. I have travelled extensively through the US, Canada, Middle East, Asia and Africa, which gives me a balanced understanding of people and their cultures in general, and brings colour to my interaction and leadership.
After Serving in the UK for a total of 15 years, I took a break to get refreshed, reconnect with Kenya and also to develop myself further at Daystar University. Even though I am back to work in Manchester, my mind remains in Kenya, where there is uncommon potential. The missing link is servant leadership of high integrity. It would be a great honour to participate in shaping Kenya one young leader at a time.
