Dr. Jan Yager, who has a Ph.D. in sociology (City University of New York), a masters in criminal justice from Goddard College, and did graduate work in psychiatric art therapy at Hahnemann Medical College, is a member of the National Speakers Association and ASTD (American Society of Training and Development). A prolific writer as well as a speaker and trainer whose presentations have been described as a combination of "powerful" "great!" and "funny." She completed the three-day train-the-trainer certificate program sponsored by the American Society of Training and Development in January 2006.

Her time management, business protocol, and writing research is based on original surveys and interviews over two decades including interviews and observations with top-earning real estate agents, government employees, managers, students, professionals, paralegals, business consultants, human resource managers, and others.
