Jim Kokocki (Ko-KOTCH-ee) is a writer, speaker, and speech coach residing in Saint John in Atlantic Canada. Jim leads engaging training, keynotes and seminars on the topics of communication, team leadership and marketing. Jim shares models, approaches and stories from his career stops, and his successes and failures, in information technology, sales, marketing, and not-for-profit leadership.


Jim served as International President of Toastmasters International, a not-for-profit communication and leadership development organization which has over 16,000 member clubs and 340,000 members in 149 countries. Toastmasters mission is to empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.

During the years 2017-2021, as a not-for-profit leader, Jim served as President and Board Chair for L'Arche Saint John, an organization that works with people who have intellectual disabilities. Jim continues to serve L'Arche Saint John as a past board member.


In 2020 Jim published Secrets To Becoming An Effective Public Speaker which is available on Amazon and in several Chapters-Indigo locations in Canada. In 2021 his second book Winter. Road. Hockey. was also published with Amazon. In 2022 Jim plans to release his third book on the topic of running effective meetings
