Maria Messer
Leader. Speaker. Writer. Mom.
I recognize that everyone has a different level of HARD. I work hard to find beauty in the struggles that life brings. I help people turn the unexpected and unpredictable events in life into their power and purpose. I do this by sharing stories of both HARD days and GOOD days. I do this with stories of exceptionalities, trauma, grief, and the continued mission to make it beautiful.
Seventeen years ago, I started my career in special education where I've served students of all ages and all disabilities. Now I serve as a Director of Special Education and lead a team of people who do the same.
13 years ago, my husband and I started our adoption journey. We were not at all prepared for what was to come when adopting from the foster care system.
We wouldn't change a thing!
After people hear me speak, they will be able to use the unexpected and unpredictable struggles life throws at us and use them to fuel their POWER and PURPOSE. They will understand that two different things can be true at the same time and they'll be able to find beauty in both the HARD days and the GOOD days.
