Matt Blanchard
Through my story, I empower audiences to dig in, dig deep, and get it done, by choosing to never give up.
When organizations, schools, and individuals face overwhelming challenges, Matt Blanchard delivers a message that transforms mindsets and re-ignites purpose. As a nationally recognized inspirational speaker, Matt empowers audiences to overcome adversity, push past limitations, and lead with courage and resilience.
Whether he’s speaking to corporate teams navigating change, students dealing with pressure and self-doubt, or educators and leaders seeking renewed purpose, Matt provides practical tools and powerful perspective to help people dig in, dig deep, and get it done. Audiences leave feeling motivated, recharged, and ready to face life with boldness and grit.
Matt’s message comes from real-life experience. Before his speaking career, he was a successful electrical contractor and the owner of his own company, until two catastrophic car accidents changed everything. Both required emergency extraction with the Jaws of Life and life flights to trauma centers, resulting in paraplegia and life-threatening injuries. Instead of giving up, Matt chose to fight his way back, mentally, physically, and spiritually. That decision became his mission: to help others overcome their own setbacks and rediscover strength they didn’t know they had.
Today, Matt serves as an adjunct anatomy lab instructor at Utah Tech University and volunteers at St. George Regional Hospital in Neuro Specialty Rehab, working closely with patients recovering from spinal cord injuries, strokes, and amputations. He is also the founder of Today’s First Step, DBA, Southern Utah Adaptive Sports, a nonprofit that empowers individuals with mental and physical disabilities through sports and recreation that foster fitness, connection and personal growth.
Matt has spoken to audiences across the country including
- Middle and junior high schools
- High schools
- Colleges and universities
- Corporations and businesses
- Leadership teams
- Recovery and rehabilitation programs
- Hospitals and healthcare professionals
He is known for his authentic storytelling, high-energy presence, and ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether on stage or in more intimate settings, Matt inspires people to lead with purpose, build resilience, and never give up, no matter what life throws their way.
