Lea overcomes the fear of public speaking by becoming a keynote speaker, podcaster, and transformation coach. She told her harrowing boat journey on the TEDx stage and then published her first book I Did Not Miss the Boat - Memoir of a Vietnam Hoa Refugee during the pandemic in 2020. The book depicts the struggles of an adolescent girl who was confused about her own identity and was being tugged on one side by a culture of duty & tradition and the other by a new land of personal opportunity & freedom.

Lea speaks to inspire diversity and inclusion, bridge the culture gap, and raise self-worth awareness. She works with organizations and individuals who want to get out of their comfort zone to explore the unknown, to embrace and create change in uncertain times. She helps people to overcome the fear of speaking their voice, being their authentic selves, and living their truth.

Lea enjoys building relationships by networking online and in person. She is a founding member of Femcity, a global women networking organization. Lea is an Assistant Head Coach for TEDxYouth@ElliotStreet, A board member of Together For Good Refugee Film School based in Malaysia, helping refugee youths learn to earn while waiting for resettlement.
