Hanna Marks

FL, USDr. Donna Marks is an author, consultant, educator, public speaker, and psychotherapist for over thirty years. She has worked with over 6000 patients suffering from mental illness and addiction during that time. She became licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in 1987 and subsequently was certified in Addiction, Gestalt Therapy, Hypnosis, Sex Therapy, and Psychoanalysis. She currently has a concierge psychotherapy practice in Palm Beach, Florida, which evolved out of her recognition that traditional treatment (outpatient and inpatient) often fails due to inadequate treatment models.
In 1989, for her doctoral dissertation, Marks developed a chemical dependency training program at Palm Beach Community College (PBCC) that has grown into a four-year degree. She was granted an Award of Appreciation from the college for her contribution. She also received the Florida Governor's Award for Service to the Community. For several years, she taught courses on addiction and spirituality in the continuing education department at PBCC. She has served on mental health boards, was a consultant to several treatment centers, and assisted with education and development at those facilities. She co-owned an outpatient treatment center from 1987 to 1989. Marks has taught A Course in Miracles for over thirty years. In addition, she has studied Christianity, Kabbalah, Science of Mind, received a Shamanism apprenticeship in Peru, numerous retreats, and fully immersed herself in her spiritual quest over half of her life.
Marks is an approved provider for the Florida Certification Board (FCB) and the National Association for Drug and Alcohol Counselors (NAADAC) for licensed professionals who are required to receive continuing education credit. She has appeared on numerous podcasts and local television. She is the author of two books, Learn Grow Forgive – A Path to Spiritual Success, and Exit the Maze: One Addiction, One Cause, One Cure which has won twenty-five book awards and was on Amazon's bestseller list in the categories of co-dependency, addiction, and physician and patient healing. Current book sales January 2020 to date for Exit the Maze on Amazon; 707 paperbacks plus 200 additional author copies sold at events. The book is also available on Amazon's Audible and Kindle.
