How do you go from working in mental health to starring in Television and Movies across North America? From the Expanse, to Allegiance... to hopefully the next marvel movie!

Let's have a conversation on mental health, overcoming adversity and following your passions but not forgetting to help those along the way.

Adolyn Dar has worked in the mental health and social service industry for nearly a decade. He started by working on the frontlines in mental health, disability, and inclusion programs for the City of Calgary and Government of Alberta and eventually earned his PMP designation to move into program development work. He continued to build programs with various non-profits across Canada, such as ONTrack, a wellness program for individuals with mental health challenges, and Bad Dog theatre as their Inclusion and Diversity Coordinator. When running workshops or speaking, Adolyn uses convergent wisdom from varying sources, such as drawing on his dual degrees in Cognitive Science and Drama and unique knowledge from his specialization in Buddhist Psychology and Mental Health. His approach is interactive, warm and he endeavors to make each workshop fun, even if he's the only one laughing at his own jokes.

Adolyn can also be seen on stage or the screen pursuing his passion as a professional artist. He has been on stages across Canada in various plays from the Shaw Festival to ATP in Alberta. His strong comedic and jovial nature has also landed him roles on tv shows and movies such as Superman and Lois, Designated Survivor and of course the one everyone watched People of Earth.
